The MHCC Complex recently marked its 17th anniversary, celebrating over a decade and a half of service in Suva, Fiji. Kunaseelan Sabaratnam, the Director of Carpenters Finance, highlighted that this shopping facility is unique in Fiji, providing a comprehensive shopping experience all under one roof.

He reflected on the importance of the complex, which opened 17 years ago, stating that it stems from the need for a centralized shopping location offering everything from supermarkets to fashion retailers. The MHCC Complex has established itself as a popular destination for customers, fulfilling diverse shopping needs in one locale.

Sabaratnam also emphasized the positive impact of the complex on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Fiji. He pointed out that the mall has provided an entry point for entrepreneurs who may not yet be ready to lease traditional shop spaces through the use of smaller pushcart setups. This initiative supports local businesses and helps foster economic growth.

Looking ahead, the Director shared exciting plans for the future of the complex, including renovations and the addition of a new tower. These updates are anticipated to attract even more visitors to the MHCC in early March.

Since its inception in 2007, MHCC has not only focused on consumer satisfaction but has also contributed to the local economy by creating job opportunities for Fijians. This combination of customer service and community support underscores the complex’s continued relevance and importance in the region.

In summary, the MHCC Complex has consistently played a vital role in the local economy, supporting small businesses while providing essential services to the community for 17 years. With ongoing renovations and a focus on future opportunities, the complex is poised for continued success and growth, promising an even brighter future for shoppers and businesses alike.
