Cardi B has announced that she is expecting a baby. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper shared a stunning maternity photoshoot on Instagram, showcasing her baby bump in a low-cut ruby-red evening gown with a matching fur coat, set against the nighttime New York City skyline.
Amid rumors of a divorce from her husband, rapper Offset, Cardi B seemingly confirmed the split in her Instagram caption. “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!” she wrote.
Cardi B expressed that this pregnancy reminded her she can “have it all,” adding, “You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and tests laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
Earlier, Page Six reported that Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, had filed for divorce from Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus. Infidelity had allegedly been an issue, but the divorce is said to result from the couple “growing apart.” “That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” a source told the outlet. “This is something she wants to do.”
Before Cardi B’s announcement, Offset addressed the rumors in an Instagram comment, denying allegations of infidelity while out with his ex-girlfriend Pretty Redz. “People really need to do the research… I’m at a public place gambling at a casino with a married 8-month pregnant woman,” he wrote.
Since their marriage in 2017, Cardi B and Offset’s relationship has seen several ups and downs, including a filed-for and then-reconciled divorce in 2020. In December 2023, Cardi B mentioned on Instagram that she had been “single for a minute.” As of now, neither Cardi B nor Offset has officially confirmed the divorce.
