Cardi B has announced she is expecting a baby. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper shared a stunning maternity photoshoot on Instagram, revealing her baby bump in a low-cut, ruby-red evening gown paired with a matching fur coat against the nighttime New York City skyline.
This announcement comes amid rumors of a possible divorce from her husband, rapper Offset. Cardi B appeared to address these rumors in her Instagram caption, writing, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life, and most of all renewed my power!”
She also reflected on how this pregnancy has shown her that she can “have it all.” Cardi B expressed, “You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and tests laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
Earlier in the day, Page Six reported that Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, had filed for divorce from Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus. According to sources, the couple is reportedly growing apart, which led to Cardi B’s decision to file for divorce.
Offset addressed the situation on Instagram, dismissing cheating allegations that he was with his ex-girlfriend Pretty Redz. “People really need to do the research… I’m at a public place gambling at a casino with a married 8-month pregnant woman,” he wrote.
Since their marriage in 2017, Cardi B and Offset’s relationship has seen many ups and downs that have garnered public attention. Cardi B previously filed for divorce in 2020, but the couple later reconciled. In December 2023, Cardi B mentioned on Instagram that she had been “single for a minute.”
As of now, neither Cardi B nor Offset have officially confirmed the divorce.
