Captain Cook Cruises Fiji is set to enhance its offerings with the launch of day cruises to Kadavu Lailai Beach, beginning June 1, 2025. This updated service was announced by Allison Haworth, the company’s executive chair, at the Fiji Tourism Exchange (FTE) held at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort.

Kadavu Lailai Beach, the traditional name for Bounty Island, is poised to offer an exclusive beach experience for guests. The transition to this new location allows for a significant beach area designated solely for Captain Cook’s customers, ensuring a more intimate setting while maintaining the familiar sailing experience that many have come to enjoy.

Guests can expect the same pricing, departure times, and high levels of service that Captain Cook is known for, along with a variety of Fijian entertainment throughout the cruise. A new optional excursion to the nearby Treasure Sand Bar for snorkeling is also being introduced for an additional fee, adding more value to the experience.

The updated itinerary highlights include:

– New day sail location beginning June 1, 2025, at Kadavu Lailai, a private beach in the Mamanuca Islands.
– Continuation of existing services alongside new enhancements.
– A newly expanded marine sustainability program, featuring additional marine biologists and educational opportunities focused on reef sustainability.

While Captain Cook Cruises faces a transitioning tourism landscape, particularly with the recent acquisition of Tivua Island by South Sea Cruises, the company remains committed to delivering quality experiences. This new chapter offers a positive outlook for Fiji’s tourism sector, aiming to meet rising demands for unique and enriching visitor experiences while showcasing the beauty of the region’s natural landscapes.

The shift to Kadavu Lailai Beach represents an opportunity for Captain Cook Cruises to maintain its competitive edge in the evolving tourism market, highlighting resilience and innovation as they adapt to new challenges and customer preferences.
