Cane Farmers in Fiji to Enjoy Exclusive Discounts: A New Era of Savings!

Cane growers in Fiji will soon have the opportunity to benefit from discounts on selected items at any Vinod Patel outlet, following the company’s recent participation in a loyalty program offered by the Sugar Cane Growers Fund (SCGF). This new initiative allows cane farmers to acquire various services and products at reduced prices, thanks to agreements forged between the fund and numerous partner organizations.

Raj Sharma, the CEO of SCGF, expressed enthusiasm about Vinod Patel joining over ten other organizations in this loyalty program. He noted that the company’s extensive presence in cane belt areas made them an ideal partner. “We are very pleased that Vinod Patel will give discounts to the farmers that range between three percent to ten percent, which is very good when it comes to buying hardware,” said Mr. Sharma. The collaboration promises not only attractive price cuts but also a unique integrated system that will automatically apply discounts at the checkout, keeping a profile of the farmer’s purchases.

The loyalty program has successfully registered over 1,128 growers, with expectations to reach around 1,500 members soon. This growth reflects strong enthusiasm among farmers within the last three months, coming close to reaching the program’s initial membership goals.

Looking ahead, this initiative is a testament to SCGF’s commitment to enriching the lives of sugar cane growers. By collaborating with various service providers—including those in hardware, medical services, and telecommunications—this program can lead to substantial savings for farmers while contributing to a more connected and resourceful agricultural community.

This development aligns with previous efforts highlighted by SCGF to enhance farmer welfare through innovative programs, such as offering healthcare benefits to farmers through partnerships with hospitals, thereby underscoring a broader strategy to support the agricultural sector. With initiatives like these, the future looks promising, as they pave the way for sustainable growth and improved livelihoods among Fiji’s cane growers.
