“Can Rewa FC Secure the Title Against Nadi?”

The Rewa Football Club is preparing for a pivotal match against Nadi in round 17 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League, with the league title at stake. Head coach Roderick Singh emphasized the importance of the match, noting that a victory could solidify their chances of capturing the championship this year.

Having recently secured a 2-0 win over Lautoka in Round 16, Rewa FC has only two matches left to clinch the 2024 league title. Singh expressed confidence in the team’s preparations, acknowledging the challenges of the past week while remaining focused on the remaining two critical games.

“The preparations are going well. We’ve had a tough week with two games left, so we are in intensive training sessions, fully aware that the league is up for grabs,” Singh stated. He underscored the significance of winning this particular match against Nadi, stressing the need for the team to give their all to maintain the league title within Rewa’s reach.

The coach highlighted the necessity for continuous improvement, especially in game management and taking advantage of scoring opportunities. In the upcoming match, he emphasized the need for a strong performance against Nadi, placing special emphasis on refining finishing skills and bolstering defense against their opponents.

Singh mentioned that despite dealing with two injuries in the squad, they are continuously evaluating the team’s condition to select the most effective lineup for the match against Nadi.

“Nadi will be a tough opponent with their young talents, and they’ve performed well in competitions like the Battle of the Giants, so we anticipate a challenging match,” he added.

Key players such as William Valentine and Tuibaba have been identified as pivotal contributors who could significantly influence the game’s outcome. Singh has urged loyal Rewa fans to come out and show their support during the match at Prince Charles Park in Nadi, which is set to kick off at 3 PM on Sunday.
