Opposition Member of Parliament Sanjay Kirpal is urging the Government to take decisive action in delivering food ration supplies to those impacted by recent floods. Kirpal, who represents the Nadi constituency, highlighted the dire situation faced by residents in Korovuto, Nawaka, and Vuniyasi due to significant rainfall.
In his effort to support the affected communities, Kirpal has organized a team of volunteers dedicated to reaching out to those in need. They are currently providing immediate grocery packages to offer some relief to these individuals.
He emphasized the necessity of supplying food and essentials to people housed in evacuation centers, particularly vulnerable families with small children. While Kirpal acknowledged the challenges that authorities may face in mobilizing immediate relief efforts, he expressed that an accelerated response from the Government would greatly aid citizens across the nation who were severely impacted by the floods on Christmas Day.
This initiative by Kirpal and his team illustrates the importance of community support in times of crisis. His appeal also serves as a reminder for governments to ensure swift assistance to those in distress, fostering resilience and solidarity among affected communities.
In light of these events, there is hope that the combined efforts of local leaders and volunteers will bring necessary relief to those suffering, reinforcing the strength of community during challenging times.
