The deputy leader of The People’s Alliance party, Manoa Kamikamica, has issued a firm call for immediate resignations following comments made by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka regarding potential defections among party members. Kamikamica expressed strong disapproval, stating, “Leave now and don’t let that door hit you on the way out.”
He emphasized that those considering a split have shown a lack of respect for the sacrifices made to ensure the stability of democracy in Fiji. Kamikamica stated, “You’ve shown no respect for the tens of thousands of Fijians that cast their vote because they believed in the Prime Minister and The People’s Alliance vision.”
He reiterated that there is no tolerance for instability or personal agendas that jeopardize national unity. Kamikamica addressed those attempting to undermine the government and the party, promising unwavering resolve against them. “To those keyboard warriors and rumourmongers, good luck and goodbye,” he said.
His commitment lies in ensuring that Fiji remains a stable and prosperous nation for future generations. He underscored the importance of their current efforts to lay a foundation for economic growth, social unity, and a stronger future, declaring that no one would be allowed to derail that vision.
