Natabua High School celebrated the completion of its cadet training program with a passing-out parade on Friday. Among the graduates was Nidhi Chaudhary, the deputy head girl and second in command, who marched closely behind Parade Commander and head boy, Josefata Naisili. Nidhi played a key role in guiding 1276 cadets through various drills and formations.
The cadet training program at the school was commended for its ability to blend academic achievement with leadership development and physical fitness, preparing students for future challenges. Nidhi reflected on the demanding training sessions, which lasted six to seven hours each day, stating, “The sun showed no mercy, but we pushed through. Overall, it was very emotional towards the end because the experience was both physically and mentally exhausting. At the same time, it feels great to have accomplished it.” She expressed her gratitude to her family and classmates for their unwavering support.
Saleshni Chaudhary proudly observed her daughter march during the parade, sharing her emotions on the occasion. “It was an emotional moment, but I’m so proud that she achieved the role of second in command. It was a proud moment for us as parents to see her complete her final march before she moves on to tertiary education. Watching her lead and hold that position really highlighted her character,” Ms. Chaudhary said.
