Two men who were seen intimidating a bus attendant at the Nadi Bus station have been apprehended by police. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu confirmed that these individuals, who gained notoriety through a viral video on social media, were arrested this morning for creating a public nuisance.
According to ACP Driu, the two men have a history of disrupting the transport experience, often harassing bus drivers and unsettling passengers. “Their actions not only endanger the safety of our drivers and passengers but also foster a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone involved,” Driu stated.
Driu urged public service vehicle (PSV) drivers and passengers to take action if they encounter similar issues. They are advised to stop at a nearby police station, community post, or checkpoint to report such incidents.
He emphasized the importance of community vigilance, especially as the festive season approaches, with the aim of ensuring a safe and incident-free Christmas for all.
This situation serves as a reminder of the need for public safety and cooperation among community members. By staying alert and supporting one another, individuals can contribute to creating a harmonious environment for everyone during the holiday season and beyond.
