Two men have been apprehended following an incident of intimidation directed at a bus attendant at the Nadi Bus station. Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations, Livai Driu, confirmed that the arrests took place earlier today.
According to ACP Driu, these individuals have a history of causing disruptions, such as harassing both bus drivers and passengers. This kind of behavior not only puts the safety of drivers and passengers at risk but also creates an environment filled with discomfort and stress for everyone present.
ACP Driu urged Public Service Vehicle (PSV) drivers experiencing similar issues to seek help by stopping at nearby police stations, community posts, or checkpoints to report their concerns. He also called on the public to look out for one another to ensure a safe and incident-free holiday season.
This incident highlights the importance of community vigilance and police collaboration in maintaining public safety, especially during festive times. It serves as a reminder that we all play a role in creating a secure environment for ourselves and those around us.
