Two individuals have been taken into custody after being featured in a viral video where they were seen intimidating a bus attendant at the Nadi Bus Station. Authorities have confirmed their arrest today.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu, these men were detained for causing disturbances in a public area. ACP Driu noted that the duo has a history of disrupting bus services by harassing both drivers and passengers.
This type of behavior poses significant risks to the safety of the transportation environment and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for anyone involved. ACP Driu urged public service vehicle (PSV) drivers who encounter such issues to report incidents at nearby police stations, community posts, or checkpoints along their routes.
This incident highlights the importance of community safety and the role of law enforcement in maintaining order in public spaces. The swift action taken by the police serves as a reminder that such unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated and that there are channels available for reporting disturbances.
Through community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement, we can ensure a safer and more pleasant experience for everyone who uses public transportation.
