Bula FC signs two rising stars from Rewa ahead of the OFC Pro League

Bula FC has made a significant move in the lead-up to the OFC Pro League by securing two of Rewa’s most promising young talents: 22-year-old Josaia Sela and 18-year-old Delon Hari Shankar.

Josaia Sela, a dedicated centre forward, has been making strides through the local football circuit. His football journey began at Saraswati Primary School before he progressed to Baulevu High School, breaking into the Rewa district set-up by Form 4. Sela, who hails from a football-oriented family, cites his older brother, former national representative Iosefo Verevou, as a key inspiration in his athletic career. Joining Bula FC represents a dream fulfilled for Sela, who has long aspired to turn professional and showcase his skills at a higher level.

On the other hand, Delon Hari Shankar joins Bula FC as one of the youngest players in the league. The 18-year-old has seen a remarkable rise in his career over the past two seasons, climbing through the Rewa youth system while also representing Fiji at both the U16 and U19 levels. Shankar has already participated in two OFC Champions League campaigns and received call-ups to the Bula Boys, significantly contributing to Rewa’s recent successes in the IDC and Pacific Cup.

Shankar views this move as particularly timely, especially after recovering from a knee injury earlier in the season. He believes that signing with Bula FC will facilitate his growth as a player and provide much-needed stability for him and his family.

The addition of these two young talents not only enhances Bula FC’s roster but also represents a promising future for football in the region, as both players are eager to make their mark on the league and beyond.
