Bula FC Signs Ba Midfielder Ryan Naresh Ahead of OFC Pro League Kickoff

Bula FC has officially welcomed Ba’s midfielder Ryan Naresh as their latest signing, marking the 10th addition to their roster. With a rich family history in football—his father, Rinal Naresh, and brother, Rahul Naresh, both played the sport—Ryan expressed that this opportunity is significant for him, representing his first major step in a promising career. He is determined to make his family and the people of Ba proud.

Ryan’s football journey began at FSC Primary School, and he advanced through the ranks, playing at the under 15, 17, and 19 levels during his high school years. While he has aspirations to study Electrical Engineering at the University of the South Pacific, his immediate focus is on his football career, which he is eager to pursue passionately.

Bula FC is set to compete in a groundbreaking venture for Oceania, as eight clubs from seven different nations will participate in the inaugural professional football league in the region. This league aims to elevate the profile of Pacific football, both on and off the field. Notable amongst the participants are Auckland FC and South Island United representing New Zealand, alongside Australia’s South Melbourne FC, the only club from outside the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC).

Additionally, the league will feature teams from Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands, creating a diverse and competitive environment. The OFC Pro League will run from January to the end of May, allowing each team to play at least 17 matches across several circuit rounds before heading into the semi-finals and finals to crown the first champion.

This new league not only represents an exciting chapter for players like Ryan Naresh but also promises a fresh era for football in the Pacific, highlighting the region’s talent and potential on the international stage.
