Bula FC players are diligently focusing on enhancing their athletic foundations ahead of the upcoming OFC Professional League season, as highlighted by head coach Stephane Auvray. The team has been engaged in rigorous training, emphasizing running and endurance over these critical weeks.

Currently, the squad is undergoing two training sessions each day at the Fiji Football Academy in Ba during a concentrated two-week camp. Auvray has noted that tactical and ball work has not been the primary focus at this stage, as they prioritize building the players’ physical capabilities.

While the training intensity has left some players weary and feeling the strain of the demanding regimen, Auvray remains optimistic. He reassured the team that the hard work they are putting in now will yield significant benefits as the season progresses, particularly in February and March when the players will need strong stamina and resilience to handle the demands of the league matches.

The OFC Professional League is set to commence in January in New Zealand, with subsequent rounds taking place in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, and Australia, followed by matches in Honiara, Solomon Islands. The league will conclude with the final fixtures returning to New Zealand in May. As Bula FC prepares for the challenges ahead, the commitment to athletic development demonstrates the team’s dedication to achieving success in the season to come.
