The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has climbed to 150th place in the latest FIFA World Rankings, gaining three positions from their last ranking. This improvement is attributed to their strong performances in the Tri-Nations series, during which they triumphed over the Solomon Islands and secured a draw with Hong Kong.
Under the leadership of coach Rob Sherman, the Bula Boys are now the third highest-ranked team in the Oceania region, behind New Zealand, which is ranked 95th, and the Solomon Islands at 144th.
In regional developments, Samoa has also made significant gains, rising seven spots to 185th after winning against Tonga and American Samoa in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
On the global front, Argentina retains its position as the top-ranked team, continuing its reign as the world’s champions.
