Bula Boys Rise in FIFA Rankings: What’s Next for Fiji Football?

The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has ascended to 150th place in the latest FIFA World Rankings, advancing three spots from their previous position. This improvement is a result of their solid performances in the Tri-Nations series, where they secured a victory against the Solomon Islands and played to a draw with Hong Kong.

Under the leadership of coach Rob Sherman, the Bula Boys are now positioned as the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, behind New Zealand, which is ranked 95th, and the Solomon Islands at 144th. In the region, Samoa also saw significant progress, rising seven spots to 185th after triumphs over Tonga and American Samoa in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

On the global front, Argentina holds the top spot in the rankings, reaffirming its status as the reigning world champions.
