The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has climbed to the 150th position in the latest FIFA World Rankings, moving up three spots from its previous rank. This positive shift is attributed to their impressive performances in the Tri-Nations series, where they secured a win against the Solomon Islands and managed a draw with Hong Kong.
Under the leadership of coach Rob Sherman, the Bula Boys are now the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, behind New Zealand, which holds the 95th position, and the Solomon Islands, currently ranked 144th.
In the Oceania region, Samoa also witnessed a significant rise, moving up seven places to 185th after successful matches against Tonga and American Samoa in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Globally, Argentina maintains its position as the top-ranked team, reinforcing its status as the reigning world champions.
