The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has climbed to the 150th position in the latest FIFA World Rankings, improving by three places from their previous ranking. This rise comes after their impressive performances in the Tri-Nations series, where they managed to defeat the Solomon Islands and secure a draw against Hong Kong.
Under the leadership of coach Rob Sherman, the Bula Boys are now the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, following New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th.
Additionally, Samoa has seen significant progress as well, moving up seven spots to 185th after their wins against Tonga and American Samoa in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
On an international level, Argentina remains at the top of the rankings, solidifying its status as the reigning world champions.
