The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has climbed to 150th place in the most recent FIFA World Rankings, gaining three spots from their last position. This advancement is attributed to their solid performances in the Tri-Nations series, where they achieved victories over the Solomon Islands and drew with Hong Kong.
Under the leadership of coach Rob Sherman, the Bula Boys are now the third highest-ranked team in the Oceania region, positioned behind New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th.
Additionally, Samoa has also seen significant progress, rising seven positions to 185th following their wins against Tonga and American Samoa in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
On the international scene, Argentina holds the top spot in the rankings, maintaining its status as the reigning world champions.
