Fiji’s national football team, the Bula Boys, has announced an extended squad for the semifinal of the 2026 World Cup qualifier against the All Whites in Wellington this March. Notably, several players who shone during the recent Pacific Community Cup in Lautoka are included.

Leading the squad is Mohammed Nabeel, who was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player while playing for the champions, the NZFFI Auckland All Stars. He is joined by captain Mohammed Shuib Khan and striker James Hoyt, both key contributors to their team’s success.

The selection also features former Fiji U20 defender Peter Ravitisai, who now captains the USA All Stars, alongside striker Nicholas Bhan. Goalkeeper Jerome Narayan, who missed the recent MSG Prime Ministers Cup, has been included as well, strengthening the squad’s defensive line.

Overseas players such as Scott Wara and Josh Laqeretabua, both based in the UK, along with Sydney United midfielder Leroy Jennings, and several New Zealand-based players, bolster the team ahead of their critical match. The players will convene at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba on February 9 for training.

In summary, the inclusion of talented players from both local and overseas clubs reflects a determined effort by the Bula Boys to enhance their competitive edge in the upcoming qualifiers. Fans can remain hopeful for a strong performance as the team continues to build momentum and showcase their capabilities on the international stage.
