Bula Boys Face Challenge Without Captain Krishna in Tri-Nations Kickoff

Roy Krishna, captain of the Digicel Fiji Bula Boys, will be absent for the opening match of the FIFA International “A” Friendlies Tri-Nations Series 2024 against the Solomon Islands. Krishna is currently in India preparing for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League with Odisha FC and will rejoin the team for their second match against Hong Kong-China in Lautoka.

Team manager Kartik Reddy stated that the squad has entered the second week of training, led by head coach Rob Sherman. “The boys are undergoing two training sessions each day, focusing on strength and conditioning in the mornings and tactical and technical skills in the afternoons,” Reddy explained.

Fiji is set to face the Solomon Islands on Monday, September 2, at 7 pm at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. The Solomon Islands will compete against Hong Kong-China on Thursday, September 5, also at 7 pm at the same venue. Fiji’s final match in the series will be against Hong Kong-China on Sunday, September 8, at 3 pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Tickets are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.
