Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu recently completed a tour of the Eastern and Western Divisions, focusing on uplifting the morale of officers stationed in rural and remote regions. During his visit, he expressed heartfelt appreciation for their commitment and resilience, particularly in the face of the demanding conditions they often encounter.

Emphasizing the core duty of police officers, Tudravu encouraged them to prioritize their responsibilities, often setting aside their own personal challenges and comforts for the sake of community service. In acknowledgment of important occasions such as Father’s Sunday for Methodist Church members, International Women’s Day, and Ramadan, he recognized the deep sacrifices made by officers who continue to serve during these special times.

Reinforcing the significance of religious freedom, the Commissioner noted that the values of kindness and gratitude within the police force align with the principles upheld in both Methodist and Muslim faiths. As part of his tour, he attended a Father’s Day service at the Navosa Methodist Church, where he connected with officers from the Navosa Police Station.

This initiative complements Tudravu’s ongoing mission to foster unity and support within the police force, mirroring the sentiments he expressed upon his appointment. With a solid foundation of extensive policing experience, he aims to cultivate a shared sense of purpose and bolster community trust in law enforcement.

The steps taken by Commissioner Tudravu signal a positive outlook for the Fiji Police Force, as he strives to rebuild public confidence and highlight the essential role of officers in preserving safety and order within their communities. By promoting a culture of integrity and dedication, Tudravu’s leadership has the potential to motivate both officers and citizens toward creating a more united and supportive policing environment.
