The walkway project at Marist Brothers High School (MBHS), which began in August 2024, is on track for completion by next Thursday. Designed to enhance student activities, the 150-meter structure will provide much-needed shelter during hot weather, creating a safer and more comfortable outdoor space for students.

This significant initiative is being executed by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Engineers Regiment, with a dedicated team of eight engineers working diligently on the project. Funding for this development has been generously provided by the Marist Old Boys Class of ’84, showcasing strong community support for educational infrastructure improvements.

Final touches are currently being added to ensure the walkway is fully ready by the anticipated completion date next week. This collaboration between the military and educational sectors reflects a commitment to improving the facilities and overall well-being of students, aligning with ongoing efforts in Fiji to enhance educational infrastructure.

This initiative comes as part of a broader commitment to uplift educational facilities across Fiji, similar to past renovations completed by RFMF at other institutions, such as Nadogo Central College. Projects like these demonstrate the potential of joint efforts involving various sectors to create better environments for learning.

The successful completion of the MBHS walkway project is not only poised to enhance the daily school experience for students but also serves as a promising step toward further improvements in educational facilities across the country. Such initiatives embody hope for a future where students can thrive in well-equipped learning environments, tailored to their needs.
