Budget Boost: Cabinet Greenlights Major Funds Redeployment for Education and Police

The Cabinet has sanctioned a second redeployment of funds from the approved 2023-2024 Budget to address the overspending incurred by the Ministry of Education and the Fiji Police Force. A total of FJ$7,936,665.94 will be reallocated to manage the financial discrepancies experienced by these two entities. This follows the initial redeployment that was authorized in July, which allocated an additional FJ$105,185,000.00 for various agencies and projects. The current redeployment is being carried out in compliance with the Financial Management Act’s regulations.
