Budget Adjustment: Fiji’s Second Fund Redeployment Unveiled

The Cabinet has sanctioned a second allocation of funds from the approved 2023-2024 Budget to address the excess spending by the Ministry of Education and the Fiji Police Force. A total of FJ$7,936,665.94 will be reallocated to regularize the over-expenditure incurred by these two departments. This follows the first redeployment approved in July, which was aimed at meeting additional expenditures totaling FJ$105,185,000.00 for various agencies and projects. This fund reallocating exercise complies with the stipulations of the Financial Management Act.
