The under-18 girls’ team from Bucalevu Secondary School is receiving support from notable figures in the North as they prepare for the semi-finals of the Weet-Bix Raluve competition. Agni Deo Singh, the Minister for Employment, Productivity, and Industrial Relations, visited the team’s camp in Nasova, Suva, yesterday, bringing supplies to show his encouragement for the northern school.
The team has been in Suva since last weekend, having advanced past the quarter-finals with a narrow victory over Lomary Secondary School, winning 15-12 last Friday. Their impressive journey continues today as they face Adi Cakobau School in the semi-finals.
Adi Cakobau School, which comes into the match as the top seed from the Eastern Zone, is considered one of the favorites to clinch the Raluve title. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:15 PM at the HFC Bank Stadium.
