Bua’s head coach, Ritesh Chand, has made it clear that his team is not aiming for a draw but is fully focused on seizing every scoring chance in their Premier League Promotion Final Play-Off against Tavua.
In comments made to FijiLive, Chand highlighted the dedication and effort that have brought the team to this crucial moment. “A lot is at stake. We have traveled all the way from Bua at our own expense, and we are so close to winning. I know the boys will give everything they have; otherwise, all the hard work and effort will be for nothing,” he stated.
Chand noted that the team is facing some injury challenges, particularly with a few players and their goalkeeper. “We approached the Fiji FA a week ago to request a change of registration, but they declined,” he explained.
Despite these setbacks, Chand remains optimistic, stressing that Bua’s motivation is fueled by the sacrifices already made, and they are just one step away from achieving a historic milestone.
