The Bua football team has taken a significant step toward earning promotion to the Digicel Premier League next year. They secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Tavua in the first playoff match held at Subrail Park in Labasa yesterday. This win places Bua in a favorable position for promotion, as they now require only a draw in the return match on Viti Levu next week to achieve their goal.
Tavua, on the other hand, must win the second leg by at least two clear goals to advance. The team features experienced players Malakai Tiwa and Josaia Ratu. The return match will take place at Garvey Park in Tavua next week.
