The Bua football team has taken a significant step towards securing promotion to the Digicel Premier League for next year. They achieved a narrow 1-0 victory over Tavua in the first playoff match held at Subrail Park in Labasa yesterday.
This win positions Bua favorably, as they now only need a draw in the second leg set to take place in Viti Levu next week to secure their promotion. Conversely, Tavua must win the return match by at least two clear goals. The Tavua team is led by experienced players Malakai Tiwa and Josaia Ratu.
The deciding match will be held at Garvey Park in Tavua next week.
