The Shahiza Holdings Bua team is making a notable impact at the 46th Vanua Levu Muslim Inter District Championship Premier division, currently being held at Subrail Park in Labasa.

Guided by Navua midfielder Zainal Ali, Bua started strong, clinching a dominant 4-0 victory against Savusavu in their opening match. In their second match, Bua faced a more challenging opponent but still managed to secure a narrow 1-0 win over Vunimoli, even after being reduced to 10 players due to a red card.

Team director Nahroon Buksh shared the team’s ambitions: “We’ve been in the Premier division for a while now and have won it for two consecutive years. We hope to make it three in a row this year, which could pave the way for us to compete in the Super Premier Division next year if everything falls into place.”

Key players for the Bua team include Mosese Baleinagaga and Samir Hussein from Navua. Bua’s next match is set against Wailevu today at 5:45 PM, with the tournament concluding with finals scheduled for this Sunday.
