BSP Financial Group Limited has made significant strides in enhancing educational facilities by recently completing a community project aimed at Koroqaqa Primary School located in Baulevu, Naitasiri. This initiative focused on improving the infrastructure to provide a better learning environment and ensure access to hygienic amenities for students.
Led by the bank’s Thomson St and Samabula branches, the project involved the construction of three new toilet blocks, one of which is equipped with a shower facility to assist students who engage in after-school sports activities. Furthermore, the project also included vital maintenance and upgrades to the kindergarten complex, which comprised the installation of new cabinets, sinks, and the renovation of the indoor toilet block. To enhance water access, a new water tank along with three hand basins was also installed.
During the handover event, BSP’s general manager of retail, Ravindra Singh, highlighted the pivotal role Koroqaqa Primary School plays in nurturing the next generation from Baulevu, Koroqaqa, Udalia, Wainisasa, and surrounding communities. He affirmed the bank’s commitment to investing in projects that enable students to learn in safe and hygienic environments, despite the school’s remote location. Singh also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of bank staff who volunteered their time and skills to support this initiative.
The appreciation continued from the school’s headteacher, Arvind Prasad, who expressed deep gratitude for BSP’s generous support and their ongoing dedication to educational development within the community.
