BSP Revolutionizes Remittances for Fijians!

Customers of Bank South Pacific (BSP) Fiji Branch can now receive Western Union remittances directly into their BSP accounts, thanks to a new partnership announced between BSP and Fexco Fiji. This agreement is set to provide customers with a wide array of financial products and services, promoting the proper management of funds, safety, security, and a savings culture.

Rajeshwar Singh, BSP’s relieving country head and chief financial officer, stated that this partnership represents an essential component of BSP’s mission to deliver affordable and modern banking solutions that enhance financial security and inclusion. He emphasized that the collaboration underscores BSP’s dedication to making financial services accessible to all Fijians, with the goal of fostering a more secure financial future.

For those working overseas, the new service simplifies the remittance process, allowing them to send money directly into their beneficiaries’ BSP accounts. This development eliminates the need for recipients to wait in line at agents to collect funds, providing them with greater flexibility in managing their finances.

Additionally, recipients can now easily access their funds through BSP ATMs and EFTPoS merchants, promoting a secure and savings-oriented approach to financial management. Fexco Fiji country manager Feskatoa Kostatino expressed gratitude to BSP for the partnership, highlighting its potential for creating impactful synergies and innovation as they move forward together. He remarked that their joint commitment to ensuring efficient and reliable financial services has inspired a transformation in the remittance landscape within Fiji.
