BSP Financial Group Welcomes New General Manager for Pacific Markets

BSP Financial Group Limited has appointed Paul Black as the General Manager for Pacific Markets operations, a move that follows recent executive changes disclosed on August 7 on both the Australian Securities Exchange and the Port Moresby Exchange.

These appointments are part of the Bank’s initiative called Modernization for Growth. Group Chief Executive Officer Mark Robinson highlighted that Black’s extensive knowledge of the South Pacific, combined with his substantial banking experience, will aid in achieving the Bank’s modernization objectives.

“Paul is an experienced leader who, like his colleagues at BSP, has a deep understanding of the South Pacific region where we operate. The executive leadership changes announced today underline the wealth of banking expertise at BSP and will bolster our modernizing for growth agenda,” Robinson stated.

Maryann Lameko Vaai, who has led the Pacific Markets business since 2022, has transitioned to the role of Acting Chief Financial Officer at BSP.

Paul Black brings over 35 years of banking experience to his new role and has been with BSP since 2011. He previously served as the Deputy General Manager of Corporate Banking and has managed teams in Vanuatu and the Cook Islands.
