BSP and Fexco Fiji Revolutionize Remittances for Customers

Customers of Bank South Pacific (BSP) in Fiji can now receive Western Union remittances directly into their BSP accounts. This development comes as a result of a new partnership between BSP and Fexco Fiji announced recently.

The collaboration aims to broaden access to financial products and services, encouraging proper fund ownership, enhancing safety and security, and promoting a culture of savings. BSP’s acting country head and chief financial officer, Rajeshwar Singh, emphasized that this partnership is essential to BSP’s mission of providing cost-effective and modern banking solutions that foster financial security and inclusion.

“This collaboration reinforces BSP’s commitment to delivering financial services that are accessible to all Fijians and designed to help build a more financially secure future,” Singh stated. The new service simplifies the remittance process for individuals working abroad, allowing them to send money directly to their beneficiaries’ BSP accounts. This innovation eliminates the need for recipients to wait in line at agents to collect funds, enabling them to manage their finances more conveniently.

Recipients can now safely access their funds via BSP ATMs and EFTPoS merchants, promoting a secure and savings-oriented approach. Fexco Fiji’s country manager, Feskatoa Kostatino, praised BSP for their partnership, highlighting the potential for impactful synergies and innovation. He stated, “Our shared commitment to ensuring that every individual has access to efficient and reliable financial services has inspired us to reshape the remittance landscape in Fiji.”
