The ACT Brumbies have officially unveiled their squad for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season as they aim to build on their semi-final performance from the previous year. The squad retains 30 players from last season, showcasing a mix of seasoned athletes and emerging talents.

Highlighted in the lineup are seven Wallabies who recently triumphantly defeated England 42-37 at Twickenham: Nick Frost, Rob Valetini, Noah Lolesio, Len Ikitau, Tom Wright, Alaalatoa, and James Slipper. Their contributions to the match were significant, with noted performances such as Wright scoring his seventh Test try, Lolesio contributing 13 points, and Ikitau making a remarkable assist that led to the match-winning score. Additionally, Valetini received the prestigious John Eales Medal for the second consecutive year, affirming his status as the 2024 Wallabies Player of the Year.

The 2025 squad will also incorporate six new faces: two signings from the Melbourne Rebels, Tuaina Taii Tualima and David Feliuai, alongside four graduates from the Elite Development Squad—Kadin Pritchard, Shane Wilcox, Lachlan Hooper, and Tevita Alatini. Head coach Stephen Larkham expressed enthusiasm about the squad, emphasizing the importance of continuity within the team as well as the exciting potential newcomers bring.

Tualima, who has a versatile skill set and prior experience with the Queensland Reds and Rebels, and Feliuai, known for his impressive performances and strong ball carries, are expected to make significant impacts in the coming season. The success of the club’s development pathways is evident with the promotion of young talents as well.

Wilcox, Pritchard, Hooper, and Alatini all join the first team after showcasing their capabilities in previous junior competitions, further demonstrating the Brumbies’ commitment to cultivating homegrown talent.

The Brumbies kick off their 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season against Fijian Drua in Suva, Fiji, on February 15, followed by a home match against the Western Force on February 22.

This upcoming season promises to be a thrilling opportunity for the ACT Brumbies, as they combine experienced players with fresh talent, fostering both continuity and growth within the team.

A hopeful outlook for the Brumbies suggests that the combination of their established players and promising newcomers positions them well for a competitive season, with fans eagerly anticipating the potential of this well-rounded squad.
