The ACT Brumbies have officially announced their 2025 Super Rugby Pacific squad, building on their successful run that culminated in a semi-final appearance last season. The squad retains 30 players from the previous year, showcasing a mix of seasoned professionals and emerging talent.

A significant highlight is the inclusion of seven Wallabies who recently triumphed against England with a score of 42-37 at Twickenham. These players—Nick Frost, Rob Valetini, Noah Lolesio, Len Ikitau, Tom Wright, Alaalatoa, and James Slipper—contributed notably to the game, with performances such as Wright’s seventh Test try and Lolesio’s 13 successful points from the tee. Valetini’s achievement of back-to-back John Eales Medals as Wallabies Player of the Year is also noteworthy.

The 2025 squad will welcome six new players, including two signings from the Melbourne Rebels—Tuaina Taii Tualima and David Feliuai—and four Academy graduates promoted from the Elite Development squad. Coach Stephen Larkham expressed his satisfaction with the squad’s composition, highlighting the importance of continuity while anticipating the impact of new additions. Tualima and Feliuai report for pre-season training, eager to contribute to the team.

The Brumbies’ pathway for talent is evident in the promotion of young players such as Lachlan Hooper and Tevita Alatini, who have made strides from the Elite Development Squad into the first team. The team’s spirit and dedication to growth were underscored by Larkham, who is optimistic about the season ahead, beginning with their first match against the Fijian Drua in Suva on February 15.

This season presents immense potential for the Brumbies, not only to build on prior successes but also to develop new talent that promises a bright future for the club. As they prepare for the upcoming matches, the focus on both experience and youth may herald a successful campaign ahead.
