The ACT Brumbies have officially unveiled their squad for the upcoming 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season, aiming to build on last year’s strong performance, which saw them reach the semi-finals.

The team’s continuity is highlighted by the retention of 30 players from last season’s roster, ensuring a good mix of seasoned athletes and emerging talent. Notably, this squad features seven players from the Wallabies who recently triumphed over England with a score of 42-37 at Twickenham. These players include Nick Frost, Rob Valetini, Noah Lolesio, Len Ikitau, Tom Wright, Alaalatoa, and James Slipper, all of whom played pivotal roles in the match. Valetini’s remarkable achievement of winning consecutive John Eales Medals as the 2024 Wallabies Player of the Year further emphasizes the squad’s quality.

In addition to the returning players, the Brumbies have introduced six new talents for the 2025 season, consisting of two signings and four graduates from the Elite Development Squad. The new arrivals are versatile forward Tuaina Taii Tualima and centre David Feliuai, both coming from the Melbourne Rebels. They are joined by Academy players Kadin Pritchard, Shane Wilcox, Lachlan Hooper, and Tevita Alatini, who have all made significant contributions at the junior levels.

Head coach Stephen Larkham expressed his satisfaction with the squad’s composition, emphasizing the importance of continuity and the potential impact of the new recruits. He conveyed excitement about the fresh additions and the promising young players stepping up to the first team, celebrating the ongoing success of the Elite Development Squad in nurturing new talent.

As the Brumbies gear up for the pre-season, the atmosphere at their training facility has been vibrant and positive. The team is set to kick off their campaign against Fiji’s Fijian Drua on February 15, 2025, followed by a home match against the Western Force on February 22.

This solid foundation bodes well for the Brumbies as they aim for success in the 2025 season, with a blend of experience and youthful enthusiasm driving their ambition.

In summary, the ACT Brumbies are strategically positioned for the upcoming Super Rugby Pacific season, combining experienced players with promising new talent. Their strong squad maintains continuity and fosters hope for an even more successful campaign than last season.
