The ACT Brumbies have officially announced their squad for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season, aiming to build on last year’s successful semi-final run. A significant highlight is the retention of 30 players from last season’s roster, providing a strong foundation of experience combined with fresh talent.
The squad will feature seven Wallabies who recently triumphed over England, including notable players such as Nick Frost, Rob Valetini, Noah Lolesio, Len Ikitau, Tom Wright, Alaalatoa, and James Slipper. These athletes contributed significantly in the pivotal match, with Valetini receiving the prestigious John Eales Medal for being the Wallabies Player of the Year.
In addition to the returning players, the Brumbies welcome two new signings from the Melbourne Rebels: versatile forward Tuaina Taii Tualima and center David Feliuai. Four players from the Elite Development Squad—Kadin Pritchard, Shane Wilcox, Lachlan Hooper, and Tevita Alatini—are also moving up to the first team.
Head coach Stephen Larkham expressed his satisfaction with the composition of the squad, highlighting the continuity and excitement brought by the new additions. He also emphasized the positive environment during pre-season training, which he believes will carry momentum into the season.
Looking ahead, the Brumbies’ first match of the 2025 season is set for February 15 in Suva, Fiji, against Fijian Drua, followed by a home game against Western Force on February 22.
In summary, the ACT Brumbies are gearing up for an exciting 2025 season with a robust roster and a commitment to nurturing young talent, creating a promising outlook for the upcoming matches. As they combine skill and experience, fans have much to look forward to.
