BRU Readies for Tikina Championship: Are You Prepared?

The Ba Rugby Union is set to launch the Ba Industries Limited Tikina Championship on September 21. In an announcement, BRU is urging all participating teams from the Tikina to familiarize themselves with the World Rugby regulations.

The BRU emphasized the importance for managers, coaches, and players to understand the technical zone guidelines established by World Rugby. According to the regulations, only four individuals may occupy the technical zone, which must consist of up to two medically trained personnel and two designated water carriers. While assistant coaches can serve as water carriers, the head coach is strictly prohibited from being among the four individuals permitted in the technical zone. No additional personnel or players are allowed in this area.

The 2024 Tikina Championship will implement the World Rugby Law changes introduced in July, which include new rules concerning offside positions in front of a kicker, the elimination of the crocodile roll tactic, and the removal of the option to scrum following a free kick.
