Marist Brothers High School exemplified their motto, “I’m my brother’s keeper,” by providing essential gear kits to the Nasinu under-18 rugby team as they gear up for their semi-final match against Cuvu College.
Although the Marist team exited the Deans quarter-final competition against reigning champions Queen Victoria School, they showed their support by donating wraps and Fiji water bottles to the Nasinu players. Principal Asish Dayal highlighted the importance of unity and camaraderie in Southern Zone rugby, reinforcing the value of mutual support both on and off the field.
“We are here to support our Nasinu first XV team, in solidarity as Southern Zone rugby,” Dayal stated. He noted that despite being rivals on the field, the spirit of brotherhood transcends competition. The Marist team extended their best wishes to Nasinu as they prepare for the crucial match.
In response, Nasinu Secondary vice principal Navitalai Waiwalu expressed heartfelt gratitude to Marist Brothers High School for their generous contribution, appreciating the gesture as a significant show of support from their fellow rugby brothers.
