Brother International (NZ) Ltd has appointed Pacific Brothers Distributor Pte Ltd as its new official distributor for Fiji after over 20 years of investment in the region. This strategic partnership aims to enhance Brother’s product offerings and stimulate growth, especially in the business-to-business sector, by leveraging Pacific Brothers’ understanding of the Fijian market.
Pacific Brothers brings a wealth of experience in the printing industry with a strong emphasis on customer service. They will introduce 24/7 support across Fiji, focusing on customer satisfaction and achieving an 80% remote resolution rate for issues.
The company plans to allocate 10% of its profits to initiatives aimed at alleviating child poverty and improving education. Together, Brother and Pacific Brothers will work on building a comprehensive network of local Technical Service Providers to ensure an optimal experience for Brother customers.
Former Brother International Executive Chairman Graham Walshe emphasized the company’s commitment to financial sustainability, governance, and community engagement. He stated that they aim to establish a channel model, allowing local partners to sell Brother products without direct sales to end-users from Pacific Brothers.
Walshe highlighted Fiji’s role as a sales and support hub for the Pacific, which will generate local jobs and foster excellence. Sustainability is also a priority, with plans to expand recycling initiatives and support local social responsibility projects.
Murray McCully, the former New Zealand Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and now a director at Pacific Brothers, pointed out the importance of Fiji as a central hub for a strong Pacific economy. He praised Brother for its commitment to environmental and social responsibility, noting that the company invests in actionable projects rather than just discussing these issues.
McCully expressed admiration for Brother’s leadership in sustainability and highlighted the commitment to reinvesting a portion of profits back into the community, reinforcing the partnership’s positive impact in Fiji.
