Brother New Zealand is searching for a new distributor in Fiji and the Pacific region after ending its long-standing partnership with Telecom Fiji Ltd. The announcement of Pacific Brothers Distributor Pte Ltd as the new distributor was made this week in Suva.
Warwick Beban, managing director of Brother New Zealand, expressed enthusiasm about the new collaboration and its potential for growth while addressing the audience via video from Europe. He noted that Fiji has been a significant market for their business for many years. However, he indicated that they reached a turning point when the previous distributor informed them that Brother’s products were no longer seen as core to their future operations.
Beban emphasized the need for a dedicated partner who could introduce the entire range of Brother products to the market to foster growth that would benefit all parties involved. He highlighted the necessity of having a representative in Fiji to support their full product lineup.
He also addressed past challenges with Telecom Fiji Ltd, particularly their withdrawal of technical and warranty support for Brother products. Beban acknowledged the proactive approach of Pacific Brothers in taking over this support for clients, expressing concerns about the former distributor’s actions.
The new agreement includes provisions for 24/7 help desk support and free call service for customers, aiming to enhance overall customer service and support.
