Brother New Zealand, a provider of home and office printers, has launched a new distribution network named ‘Pacific Brothers,’ marking an important expansion in the Pacific region. The announcement took place in Suva this week, where Executive Chairman Graham Walshe expressed gratitude to the company’s partners for their role in developing the required infrastructure.
Walshe stated, “We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from our partners in establishing our distribution network. Today, we are excited to showcase the results of our hard work and share our vision for the future.”
The ‘Pacific Brothers’ network aims to improve Brother’s distribution in Fiji and the wider Pacific Islands. It will oversee various products, including sewing machines, P-touch labeling products, and essential tools for the clothing manufacturing and retail sectors. The new model emphasizes sustainability and a customer-focused approach.
Brother intends to resolve 80 percent of customer support issues remotely, which reduces the need for on-site repairs and aligns with their environmental sustainability objectives. Walshe announced the offer of free installation, training, and eco-friendly disposal of packaging for purchases exceeding $898.
He also highlighted the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, which includes dedicating 10 percent of profits towards child poverty alleviation and educational opportunities, while adhering to global development goals.
The operations will serve as a central hub for the Pacific, with plans to manage distribution, support, and training from Fiji. Walshe remarked, “Fiji as the hub of the Pacific will be our center of excellence, creating jobs and serving as a model for sustainable and responsible business practices.”
He affirmed Brother’s dedication to customer needs with integrity and transparency, aiming to surpass expectations and build long-lasting relationships with clients throughout the region.
