Brother New Zealand, known for supplying home and office printers, has inaugurated its new distribution network, ‘Pacific Brothers’, heralding a major expansion of its operations throughout the Pacific region.
The launch took place in Suva this week, where Executive Chairman Graham Walshe expressed gratitude towards the company’s partners for their assistance in establishing the necessary infrastructure.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from our partners in establishing our distribution network,” Walshe stated. “Today, we are excited to showcase the results of our hard work and share our vision for the future.”
The ‘Pacific Brothers’ network aims to improve Brother’s distribution capabilities in Fiji and across the wider Pacific Islands. This network will oversee a variety of products including sewing machines, P-touch labeling tools, and other essential items for clothing production, corporate sectors, and retail. The new distribution model emphasizes sustainability and a customer-focused service approach.
The company plans to resolve 80 percent of customer support issues remotely, thereby reducing the need for on-site repairs and aligning with its environmental sustainability objectives. Walshe mentioned the commitment to offer free installation, training, and eco-friendly disposal of packaging for purchases exceeding $898.
He also highlighted the company’s dedication to corporate social responsibility, which includes allocating 10 percent of profits towards alleviating child poverty and enhancing educational opportunities, in accordance with global social development goals.
The operations in Fiji will act as a central hub for the Pacific, with plans to manage distribution, support, and training from this location.
“Fiji, as the hub of the Pacific, will be our center of excellence, creating jobs and serving as a model for sustainable and responsible business practices,” Walshe concluded.
He emphasized that Brother is committed to fulfilling customer needs with integrity and transparency, with the aim of exceeding expectations and fostering long-term relationships with clients throughout the region.
