Brother New Zealand, a provider of home and office printers, has announced the launch of its new distribution network, ‘Pacific Brothers’, marking a notable expansion of its operations throughout the Pacific region.

The announcement took place in Suva this week, where Executive Chairman Graham Walshe expressed gratitude to the company’s partners for their support in establishing the necessary infrastructure.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from our partners in putting together our distribution network,” Walshe stated. “Today, we are thrilled to demonstrate the outcomes of our efforts and share our vision for the future.”

The ‘Pacific Brothers’ network aims to improve Brother’s distribution capabilities across Fiji and the wider Pacific Islands. It will offer a variety of products, including sewing machines, P-touch labeling solutions, and various essential tools for clothing manufacturing, corporate sectors, and retail. The new distribution model emphasizes sustainability and a focus on customer service.

The company plans to address 80% of customer support inquiries remotely, reducing the necessity for on-site repairs while supporting its environmental sustainability objectives. Walshe also highlighted the commitment to providing free installation, training, and eco-friendly disposal of packaging for purchases exceeding $898.

He also pointed out the company’s dedication to corporate social responsibility, which includes allocating 10% of profits towards combating child poverty and enhancing educational opportunities, in line with global social development goals.

Brother’s operations will act as a central hub for the Pacific, with plans for managing distribution, support, and training from Fiji.

“Fiji will serve as the hub of the Pacific, acting as our center of excellence, generating jobs, and demonstrating sustainable and responsible business practices,” Walshe noted.

He reiterated Brother’s commitment to fulfilling customer needs with integrity and transparency, aiming to exceed expectations and build lasting relationships with clients across the region.
