Brother International (NZ) Ltd has appointed Pacific Brothers Distributor Pte LTD as its new official distributor for Fiji after over 20 years of investment in the region. This partnership seeks to enhance Brother’s product offerings and drive growth within the business-to-business market by collaborating with a distributor that intimately understands the local market dynamics.
Pacific Brothers comes with extensive expertise in the print industry and prioritizes customer service. They plan to introduce round-the-clock support for users across Fiji, emphasizing customer satisfaction and achieving an 80% remote resolution rate for issues.
Additionally, the company has committed to investing 10% of its profits towards alleviating child poverty and improving education. Together, Brother and Pacific Brothers aim to establish a comprehensive network of local Technical Service Providers to ensure an optimal experience for Brother customers.
Former Executive Chairman of Brother International (NZ) Ltd, Graham Walshe, emphasized the need for financial sustainability, aiming for growth through positive cash flow and profits retained in Fiji and the Pacific. He asserted the company’s commitment to governance, accountability, and community involvement, stating that they will not sell directly to end-users but through local partners.
Walshe mentioned Fiji’s role as a Pacific sales and support hub, contributing to job creation and excellence in service. Brother and Pacific Brothers are also focusing on expanding recycling initiatives and contributing to local sustainability efforts.
Murray McCully, the former New Zealand Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and now Director at Pacific Brothers Distributor Pte LTD, highlighted the necessity of a strong Fiji hub for the success of the broader Pacific region. He recognized Brother’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility, stating that while many companies discuss these challenges, Brother actively invests in practical solutions.
Mr. McCully praised Brother’s values as a global company and noted the significant impact of dedicating 10% of profits to support the most vulnerable community members. He also applauded Brother’s leadership in environmental sustainability initiatives, including a buyback program.
