This strategic collaboration aims to broaden Brother’s product offerings and stimulate growth, particularly within the business-to-business sector, by aligning with a distributor that comprehends the unique requirements of the Fijian market.
Pacific Brothers comes with substantial experience in the printing industry and emphasizes customer service and support. The company will introduce around-the-clock support services across Fiji, focusing on high customer satisfaction and achieving 80% issue resolution remotely.
In a commitment to community welfare, Pacific Brothers plans to allocate 10% of its profits to initiatives that address child poverty and improve education. The partnership between Brother and Pacific Brothers will also focus on developing a nationwide network of local Technical Service Providers, ensuring an optimal experience for customers using Brother products.
Former Brother International (NZ) Ltd Executive Chairman Graham Walshe emphasized the importance of financial sustainability, aiming for growth through positive cash flow and retained earnings in Fiji and the Pacific region. He expressed a commitment to high governance standards, accountability, and contributing fairly to local tax revenues.
Walshe elaborated on the distribution model, explaining that customers can purchase Brother products from over ten local partners rather than directly from Pacific Brothers. He stated that Fiji would function as a sales and support hub for the region, enhancing job creation and establishing a center of excellence.
Sustainability remains a core focus for Brother and Pacific Brothers, with both companies expanding recycling initiatives and funding local sustainability and corporate social responsibility projects.
Murray McCully, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade for New Zealand and current Director of Pacific Brothers Distributor Pte LTD, highlighted the importance of Fiji as a hub for Pacific success.
