British High Commissioner visits Fiji to boost football development

The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) welcomed British High Commissioner to Fiji, Kanbar Hossein-Bor, in a significant courtesy visit aimed at enhancing cooperation in sport, youth development, and community engagement. This visit underscores the growing relationship between Fiji and the UK, particularly in the realm of football.

Fiji FA Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf expressed gratitude for the High Commissioner’s visit, emphasizing its importance for forging international partnerships. He stated, “We are honoured to host Kanbar Hossein-Bor at Fiji FA. His visit reflects the commitment our two nations share in developing talent, promoting inclusivity, and advancing football in Fiji.”

During the visit, the High Commissioner was updated on key developmental initiatives spearheaded by Fiji FA. These include grassroots football programs, youth academy pathways, advancing women’s football, and preparations for the national team.
