Kalaveti Ravouvou, the Flying Fijians center, made an impressive return by scoring two tries in his first match of the season for the Bristol Bears. His performance contributed significantly to the team’s 31-23 bonus-point triumph against a reshuffled Northampton squad, marking Bristol’s first home victory of the season.

Northampton initially took charge with a 15-0 lead within the first 20 minutes, courtesy of tries from George Hendy and Josh Kemeny. However, Bristol quickly responded with two rapid tries from Ravouvou and Gabriel Ibitoye, bringing them back into the game.

Ravouvou secured the Bears’ narrow lead with his second try before Joe Batley extended the advantage by scoring their fourth try just 10 minutes from the end. Despite James Ramm’s late score with only 60 seconds remaining, it was too late for Northampton to salvage anything from the match. This loss marked their sixth consecutive Premiership defeat away from home.

With this victory, Bristol has now achieved four consecutive wins against Northampton and positioned themselves 10 points ahead of their rivals at the top of the table ahead of the weekend’s remaining matches.
